Received his master’s degree in computational intelligence in 2012 by the Electrical Engineering Graduate Program (PPGEE in the Portuguese acronym) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) Brazil. Graduated in electrical engineering (2009) at the same university with audio engineering studies certificate. During the master studies, he was a researcher at the foundation Center for Research and Development in Telecommunications (CPqD) from Campinas Brazil, in the project of a parametric text to speech synthesizer development, also integrating the Center for Studies in Speech, Acoustics, Language and Music (CEALA) located at School of Engineering from UFMG. He currently is a PhD student in sonology at the Music Graduate Program (PPGMus), also at UFMG, and a member of the Center for Research on Gesture and Musical Expression (GEGeME) situated at the School of Music. Has work and research experience in audio engineering, speech modeling and synthesis, digital signal processing, and sonology.
